I was wondering if there is a difference between DVD burners for backing up PS2 games? External DVD burners work right? I'm looking for one that's not too costly but is good quality. Thanks in advanced, I appreciate it.

Alright, thanks for the replies. I also heard about DVD burners only being able to burn specific DVDs (e.g. only DVD-R, DVD+R), is this true??

most good burners do both formats DVD-R and DVD+R ,so that shouldnt be a problem just look at the specs. of the burner before buying

My DRU710A (BYX5) has been burning PS2 games and DVD movies flawlessly for over 1 year and 2 months. So far this baby has never let me down. However, I think my next burner will be BenQ.
