Hey, Lately iv been having big problems so i though that this might be a good place to start for an answer.
These are the symptoms:

*I cannot get into task manager (ctrl+alt+del) or vet because they pop up for a split second then dissapear.

*Cannot install new vet because it says "make sure you have administration rights".. or something similiar. Which i am an admin.

*Everytime I connect to the internet (modem), about 5 add windows pop up (IE) and my prefered explorer (netscape) gets redirected to "adult friend finder". I know this could be adds but iv got adaware and it deletes heapz of adds but they still appear.

*After a while a message pops up "generic host process for win32 has encounted a problem and has to close" then a min after the taskbar changes styles and colors then i get sighned out of msn and the computer acts like theres no internet but its still connected. And It will not disconect.

*Internet sends about 3 times more bytes then recieves.

Is there any way of helping me?

right looks like you have some spyware or somthing and youll need to clean up, this will help alot make sure you scan with this in safe mode(keep tapping f8 as soon as you turn on the comp and choose safe mode when you see the option).

its ewido http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ it will realy help, run a full system scan with it, (its free after the trial but has no shield) also youll need theese

seeing as you cant get to the net in normal mode youll need to get all theese in safe mode too.

ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/
cwshredder http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder.html
ad-aware se http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-...
spybot s&d http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
online virus scan http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

thoose are very usefull too,all that is provided by ddp kindly posting it on other threads itll realy help, make sure you do the online virus scan very good.

this will realy help belive me, also have you got a firewall, if you have then that realy helps too, this is one of the best firewalls and its free!!!

http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/free...

ive seen similar problems its the fact that you dont have real time protection from spyware/ad ware that does stuff like this, ewido will provide you with some top qaulity protection but after expiration i think you should get microsoft anti spyware beta its very good too.

seeing as you find "heapz" of stuff i think youve got a trojan thats opening the door for theese but once youve got zone alarm running then youll be fine, the online virus scan will get rid of thoose trojans too
im sure.
this will sort you but if not post back and ill see what i can do, make sure you post a hijack this log here too after youve cleaned up a bit too, that would be very usefull for you too as i can see whats going on.

good luck!!

yes I do have dial-up, parents wont pay for broadband because they say I download to much and will go over the broadband limit. Right now Im on unlimited hours and downloads. Its still taking me a while to download those programs^ because that error window keeps poping up and disconnecting my internet (downloads cancel), but im still tryin things.
