how to burn a 1 speed dvd with 4 speed??!?!?!?

Hello everyone,

i heard that it was possible to burn a 1 speed that's write dvd one 4 speed. First you have to put a 4 speed dvd and when it start you do the 1 speed. does anyone know more about it?!

I think most burning software will let you pick whatever X you want to write at ?

..instead of using "MAX" .. use 1X ..or 2X etc etc

You might be able to do it, but you'll probably have a DVD with lots of errors. Something to consider.

There are cetain firmwares out there that will take a 1x disc and burn it at 2.4....but a 1x to 4x.... haven't heard of that. No matter what firmware you have, I would just recommend only doing what the speed the disc is certified at. Can cause some problems in the long run. Like the old 720k floppys, jiggy rigged to become 1.44 meg.
