Hi i reported a problem the other day in the software section about Sonic My DVD. The problem i had was it kept failing DVD writes and wasting my discs. I was given a few tips and played about.

I found that if i use a Verbatin DVD+RW i get a perfect write each time. So i tried to extract the video from that RW to an ISO, which then fails each time:(.

I therefore thought it was the media i was using. However later on i tried to write two ISO's i have of 2 movies 8 Mile and 2 Towers. I got 6 perfect writes straight off with the same media as before. I used DVD Decrypter to do this. I then tried a new ISO i had sucessfully made from the RW of Star Wars, this then failed.

It seems as tho my writer only like the two files i have. Does anyone else suffer these problems?? I'm following the guides to the letter about recoding using Tempeg and Virtual Dub.

I'm at a loss and getting out of pocket with all these failed DVDR's. Any suggestions gratefully received and anyone with a NEC Drive like mine out there who can tell me the best branded DVD+R's for it, i'll love you!!!
