Have today started to get run time error424 message when I run certain applications on my computer. Anyone got an idea what the problem might be.

This error is normally an issue with the program you are trying to load -- in Visual Basic , error 424; object required -- it means that the application has not been able to open the Windows File dialog box due to a problem in the Windows registry.

A good Registry Cleaner may solve your problem - followed by a re-install of the application concerned.
