Seasons Greetings every1 on AfterDawn! This is my first time posting on here. I have copied many DVDs in the past & never had any trouble previously. But I don't seem to be able to copy Kung Fu Hustle for some reason. I just use DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter. It seems to work for a bit (about 30 seconds or so) it reads up untill the beginning of the film then it stops for some reason! Any help advice would be much appreciated.

Shrink can't handle this one but I think decrypter can (it's been awhile since I did this one). If your getting read errors with Decrypter you may have a bad disc.
Try dvd fab decrypter (can dl from aD til 12/31/05) - like decrypter and also free - then run thru shrink.
Another alternative is AnyDVD - can also dl from aD (21 free trial) and run this in the background w/ shrink.

Thanx. I don't think there should be anything wrong with the DVD tho....it has pretty much no marks or scratches on it.....& plays perfectly in my DVD player....I will get back 2 you on the DVD Fab thingie & let u know if it worked! :-)

Let us know how it turns out! Hopefully that will work. Though if you have a bad press/disc it may not. Bad Presses will play fine - dvd players are more forgiving - but when it comes to ripping that's when the bad spot is picked up.

DVD Shrink and AnyDVD 5.6.3.1 worked sweet for me. Excellent movie by the way :-D

I downloaded DVDFab Decrypter. I went to copy Kung Fu Hustle......BUT it said all files in the directory C. Drive will be deleted!!!! What does this mean exactly....it certainly doesn't sound good. Could sum1 tell me whether this is normal/ok & how 2 use DVDFab......what do I do once I have copied it to the C. Drive? Do I open & use DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink 2 burn it 2 DVD!? :-S

Help/advice appreciated!

It should say that deleting contents in the folder that you are copying to. You are copying into an empty folder are you?

What do you mean by we can DL DVDFab til 12/31/05? I guess I should check it out why we can nolonger DL from this site.

It says: "All the files in Directory C:\Documents & Settings\Alex\My Documents\DVD\ will be deleted! Are you sure?"

Is this normal/ok?

That should be fine. Just make a note to where you saved it so that you can shrink/burn to a dvdr.

Check out the home page at aD - the top story. Due to Finnish law that takes effect 1/1/06 - aD is making some changes.

Eventually managed 2 do it! Used DVDFAB......didn't realise I then needed 2 use Shrink as per usual.....finally figured it out!
