Hi Guys

Scenario:
I recently copied divx files to DVD as a Data DVD, the disc now only plays 1 out 3 files. A second disc held hard drive backup and some folders were unaccessible after the burn. My normal DVD backups are flawless, so I am assuming that the problem must be the media. The media I am using is Ritek G04.

I have searched throught the forum and I am still unsure about quality data DVD media.

Question:
Which is the best DATA DVD media available and at reasonable price?

I am after media which have been specifically designed to hold and data files and not dvd movies.

I plan to copy divx files onto them and make backup of certain directories of my hard drive.

Hope you guys can help.

there is NO differences between backing up dvds(movie) or data as far as blank media goes Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim is always your best choice, the Ritek should be ok too ,try burning the data at a slower speed next time like 4x
