Just got a DMS4 EZI Pro for Christmas (love my wife), and can't get it to work. At first, the eject button wasn't working and the reset led stayed on all the time. I took it apart, made sure I didn't tighten the screws down too much (evidently a common problem), and reassembled it. Now the eject button works, the reset button works, the drive spins, but I still get a BSOD. All the clips seem to be seated properly. Any ideas? It IS an Italy chip, and supposedly they were having problems with some of them. I don't want to go through the hassle of trying to exchange it if the chip is fine and I'm doing something wrong on the installation.

i havent had any problems with the standerd Lite/Pro versions myself but the SE have been less then desireable on the ones i've got. if you have a non SE version i'd just try to recheck all connections and the chips for bent wires where you installed the clip on connectors. if it's an SE you may have a bad chip.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.. I was trying to avoid taking those clips off, I checked all the other connections already.
