I recently installed Nero and DVD Shrink on a Dell laptop to back up my movies. When the shrinking process finishes, the dialog box syays that the files have been saved to burn with the appropriate burning program. I installed Nero, and the "enable burning with Nero" box is checked. The laptop just won't eject the movie disc.

I have installed the same combination on two other desktop PCs and have never had this problem. After shrinking they eject the movie disc and wait for the blank, just like it should. Why won't the laptop behave the same way? Everything is setup exactly the same. Any ideas?

Your laptop just might not support the eject function. I use Nero with my laptop and it works the same as it does on my desktop.

I am having the same problem on my laptop. Have you found a solution yet? The first couple backups went fine. I showed the sreen where shrink is looking for blank media. Now I get the statement: ready to burn with appropriate software.

@chief135

The message you are getting would lead me to think that you are telling DVD Shrink to only create an ISO image. If you want the file to be burnt automatically then you must select either burn with Nero(you must have Nero installed on your machine and point DVD Shrink you the optical drive you wish to burn with) or ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter. Since you already have created the ISO image with DVD Shrink all you need to do now is open DVD Decrypter and select the ISO file and burn it, or open Nero burning rom and burn the image with that program.
