Here is my long story:

We had a professional video guy help us video tape part of our trip in India,a nd he provided us a DVD to watch at home. It does not work on any of my DVD players, but will play on my computer.

I have tried copying it using Clone2 (just downloaded trial version). I also have downloaded AnyDVD and Shrink. Anyway, the copy has the same characteristics as the original.

Not sure if this is a region problem or what, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds as if the disc was not finalized. When you reburn it using ur programs it sound rip away any regional code. I recently had the same problem. Their wasn't much I could do. I don't know what else to tell you. Good luck.

The file type is IFO??? Funny enough, this DVD played on my Sharp DVD player, but was not playing on my parents Sony. I assume this means it is a VCD. If so, how can I convert a VCD to a DVD??? Does Clone or Shrink do this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Use dvdIdentifier to find out if it is a dvd or a VCD first. Sometimes certain disc's have compatability problems with certain players. I would try it around with other players first see if it is justs your player. ---zen-->
