because of the high cost of double layer dvd's i was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to split movies in half to fit them onto two DVD-R/DVD+r's? no extra features are going to be added such as scene selectiona and so forth. i ripped the dvds and just took the movie from them but im left with move files that wont fit onto regular dvd+-r's.

anyone know of any software that would do this, cut it in half or an editer?

Have you tried using DVD Shrink, it would have to be a really long movie for shrink not to handle it. In the Re Author mode you can remove any unwanted "rubbish" from the movie.
