I'm interested in making backups of my dvds and having them play on my playstation 2. I also want to put some divx movies on dvdr and play them on it too. Is there anything special i need to do to get those movies to play on the playstation 2 besides the standard guide?

no i havent done any dvd to dvdr yet. before i burn i wanted to make sure I dont waste any dvds to find out im doing something wrong. there seems to be alot of guides out there to help. Im really on concerned about what i need to do to make it compatible with my playstation 2 (if its not already) I hear that its a very picky dvd player so i was wondering if i need to do anything special. (thanks for such a speedy reply too)

i buy from a site that shows each id coding so you know what your buying, as you can get the same type brand and have different id codes inside them!

i am in the UK so i use http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk

or http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/dvdr.html

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
