When I set DVD shrink to open ROTS, I get it analyzed 56%, but then I always get the error:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to read file "D:\" Incorrect function.

Is this one of those discs which cannot be backed up. please help.

Try using DVD43 running in the background or ripping it to the harddrive with DVD Decrypter first.

Hey omartian,

DVDshrink is all you should need, there's nothing special about this movie/DVD. Make sure the disk is clean and not badly scratched.

I used DVDshrink to rip and transcode the movie (Title 1 only in re-author mode, no extras, no subtitles, and only one audio selection AC3 5.1 channel english, had it create an ISO), I then used Imgburn to burn the ISO to DVD.

Yep, I directly burn with Nero through DVD Shrink..don't bother with iso's either... was just suggesting DVD43 as it can be helpful sometimes, can't remember if I was running DVD43 or not, most of the time it's just there in the background and I only turn it off when I get certain dvd's that don't like DVD43 and prefer shrink on it's own.

good luck with it :)
