Has anyone got Kingdom Hearts 2 to boot on HD Loader or HD Advance? I was thinking about purchasing HD Advance 3.0 and this game is mainly the reason. I'd just like to make sure before I order it.

I put it on the HD loader. It works until I beat Hallow Bastion anyone know why?

I bought it for like $45 sealed and everything. I used the HD cause I don't like the slide card or Modchip. I mean how did the gold person do it?
....

i just d/l the game and put it onto my hard drive and it worked ive completed it twice and still no probs dunno wot u guys are doing rong

Yeah, I just installed it but once I pass Hollow Bastion, and enter an area with my Gummi Ship, my PS2 freezes.
Did you start up Kingdom Hearts 2 with a different mode?

Um... there are WAY WAY TOO MANY threads like this in the Harddrive BOOT Forum...
No one can't fix the patch yet. There is a link I found but the patch not upload onto the site yet. To find the link, search for it on this site. Don't be lazy.

I have the same problem....Cant load world after Bastion. This is a link that was sent to me. http://list.ps2hd.com/ . The patch file is not uploaded to the site but if you put the patch file name into google, you should have some results. I found the file on another site but I wont be able to test it until later today to make sure its legit.

Golden is lying and suspended.
You need a patch for it to work.
Just use swap disc, it will work with no problem.

Ok, first of all, I'm sorry I havent returned to this thread in a while. I ended up hard-modding my PSTwo (slimline) and just burnt KHII.
Second, Godden really wasnt lying. When I posted this the only version out was the Japanese/NTSC version. It was possible it worked for him, because people really weren't having problems with the first Japanese release, but only the English release.
So he was probably suspended for nothing.
The "swap disc" is called Swap Magic. Just google it and it'll take you to the main site. The have many tutorials there to teach you how to install the slide card and everything. It's also a cheap way to mod your PS2.

It will work with swap disc but not hd loader or hda.

Great news for some!!
I managed to get past the first dimentional gate,(Gummi WorldMap part)on HD advance 3.0,
NOTE: this was done by accident.
all matrix infinity owners will know, that if you press and hold TRIANGLE + CIRCLE button during PS2 Boot Up, you can bring up the matrix configuration menu.
After randomly playing around with video mode settings etc.
I found that one video setting worked, i cant remmember if i selected Pal60 or NTSC, but when i was playing the game, the screen was very much out of alignment.
Amazinglly it worked, it showed the gummi menu where you could customize your ship etc, and i passed the level with flying colours.
I then saved my game, and rebooted my ps2 so i could return back to my original PAL mode.
i continued to The Land of Dragons which worked perfectly in PAL, which i also passed with flying colours.
But this is where i am stuck, i cannot enter any Dimention Gates! after the land of dragons, cause a cannot remmember what settings i used.
I have tried changing the settings around but im having no luck.
Anyway, the point is, i think its something to do with the video mode and hd advance, cause when i first went into my matrix config menu, i played around with a few settings, which were>
VideoMode- either PAL,OFF,PAL60,NTSC,COLOUR,VGA
GreenFix- either ON,OFF
MacrovisionFix-either ON,OFF
BootMode - either Auto,Fast,InfinityManager....
Those are the main settings i was playing with, so atleast someone might be able to figure out why everyone gets black screens during gummiship gates.
This will give all you matrix owners and modding enthusiasts a good idea of what the problem could be.
I hope someone will help
