I learned how to burn DVD's recently using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. I burned about 15 DVD's that worked fine. Then all of the sudden, none of the DVD's I burn can be read by any drive I put them in. My drive will still burn CD's fine. Does anyone know what the problem is here?

Could you maybe give us a little more info? Is anything even written on it? What media are you using? What speed are you burning at? Burner modle and firmware? What happens when you put it in teh player? Have you tried a diff. player?

When I put the discs back into my burner, my computer shows that the discs have no free space on them. Every other drive I put them in tries to load information from them until I take them back out. I am using ISO files. Programs: DVD Shrink 3.2 and DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0. I've been burning at 2.4x. My burner also supports 4x. Any ideas on whether the problem is in the ripping process or burning process? Software or hardware?

Is your firmware up to date? And again, what media are you using? If you give me your model number I can tell you your firmware.

Well if you would just tell me what your model number is then I could tell you your firmware. And by media I mean what brand of disc.

My burner model is _NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A, and the discs I'm using are Philips.

Well here is teh link to your firmware. I don't know which one applies to you so you will have to choose. If it's a dell then choose 10GE or if it's a Fujitsu the choose 1.E4 etc. And as for the media you are using, it sucks. Well it may not, but I would need to know your MID codes because I have heard that Phillips uses many companies to produce it's media. I may be wrong though, might have been a diff. brand. But just to be safe switch to Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Can't go wrong with those 2. Sony Fuji and Maxell are fine if they are made in Japan.

BTW, are you a "Get Fuzzy" fan?

I'm starting to think the problem may be with the discs. I tried burning data onto one of them, and that didn't work either, yet something was written onto the disc. It can clearly be seen. Still, the first few DVD's I burned with these discs did work.

I've never heard of Get Fuzzy.
