Hi, I have an .ISO file that will play using vlc player on my pc, but when I burn it via NERO it will not play on either of my 2 DVD players.

I used ANYDVD to see if it has any protection, but it doesnt.

Has anyone any ideas as to whats gone wrong? Or have I done something wrong (I'm new to .ISO files)

Thanks & Can I wish evertone a happy new Year.

Some players are picky about the media that they will read. You can check yours out at this web site:

http://www.dvdplusrw.org/Compatibility.asp?mid=0&sid=2&aid=59

It will tell you which type of media that your players should accept.

Cheers.

Sorry. I have used these DVD-R (datawise) ones many times without a problem.
Just a bit more info. When I look at the dvd on my pc, there is a VIDEO_TS dir with lots of .bup, .ifo & .VOB files in it (all different sizes).
When I put it in my dvd player its just shows the message 'NO PLAY'

If I put it in mp pc it plays with "VLC media player" but when it says to press buttins on my dvd remote I cant go any further. But I want to play it on the TV anyway so there is no point persuing this as a solution.

Having jut read a thread on DVD Decrypter I have used this & it says that the ISO is INCOMPLETE, (see below), but I have no idea ho I find out which bit is missing.
HP DVD Writer 630c AH02 (ATA)

if not try it

then tell us what you got there!

dvd shrink can load iso files!!!!!! if files are ok that is.

go to: FILE / OPEN DISC IMAGE

hi, I've done as you said and DVD Shrink opens it up ok. I have noticed that there isnt an audio_ts dir like normal, only a video_ts one.

Having wasted 3 blank dvd's already do you still think its ok to hit backup and burn with DVD Decrypter?

Thanks very much for your assistance.
