I have a Toshiba DVD player, and says it will play mp3,wma, and jpeg files. Is there a way to convert avi to mp3, wma or jpeg to a DVD disc so I can play it in my Toshiba that is hooked up to my surround sound and will I be able to get the 5.1 sound out of it?

Thanks,
Phil

Because AVI is a compressed format.

Well first thanks for thanks;

on the second part of your answer..'spose it all about this conversion stuff, and ratios,and dark stuff thet moves in the night.

The forums are open, but don't change a question; halfway through, an answer.

regards

Sorry about that. Ok so i have my AVI file converting as we speak. It says it has 2 hours left. So after it is converted I just pop in a DVD disc and burn it and it should play in my dvd player. right?

thanks again,
phil
