Ok I realy don't know if I did this right or not!
Ok I followed the instructions on the guide here at afterdawn for how to rencode videos for psp using Nero Recode. Well I selected the files wich were in .avi format and converted them to mp4 using nero recode. I saved them to a folder on my pc instead of saving them to the psp. Well then I tryed to copy and past the files to the memory stick.
Heres where I got confused. I had two mp4 files and that was it. I made a new folder under the part on the memory stick where it says psp and I called it movies. I pasted the files there and then I tryed to play the movie with my psp and it said no movie files on the memory stick. How do I get it to work the right way??

@Burngames - And let's leave the gays alone too, even if someone hassles you, just reach for the 'offensive post' button and let the mods deal with it

yes leave the gays alone
i happen to be gay - i don't find any of you at all offensive though
because your too childish to be malicious
anyway
as to your question
your going wrong with your names
you need to call your movies M4V0000xx (replacing the x's with numbers. ie 1 for your first movie and 2 for your second and so on)
then
you want to create a folder called MP_ROOT in the root directory of your psp. then a folder called 100MNV01
so it will be x:\\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 (x being your removable drive/psp)
and then put your movies in that folder
but like the first answer you should try out pspvideo9
its easier faster and cheaper (it does all the work for you)
hope this helps

Burngames is asking a legitimate question, so stop giving him crap. I would recommeng getting PSP Video 9. It's easy to use and converts just about anything. There is a sticky at the top of this forum that tells you how to install movies or music. Follow it and you'll be fine. Movies have to be in a vertain directory and named a particular way or your PSP won't see them.

It still says that there are no videos on the memory stick!
Heres what I did:
I put the memory stick in the psp and connected it to the pc.I clicked on the only folder that was present that is called psp and it opened with only one folder inside of it called savedata. I created a new folder called MP_ROOT and then opened it and created a folder inside it called 100MNV01. Inside of 100MNV01 I put 4 files inside of it. First one called M4V10001.MP4 second M4V1001.THM third M4V10002.MP4 and fourth M4V10002.THM. I closed the folder pressed circle on the psp and went to videos adn it says no video files! What do I do now?

no,
you need to put the mp_root folder in yuor psp's root directory
in other words
when yuo open your psp on your comp. and you see the folder called psp
you need to create the mp_root folder in there. nexxt to the one called psp
then everything should work
