of my surround sound speakers by using my surrround sound system? If so what chords would I need. I know its not gonna be 5.1 or DTS but I just wanna watch a game with some sound coming out of my speakers. Appreciate it!

The audio quality on many broadcasts is not good. But, if you get a nice true-stereo channel and have a good quality MTS decoder in your TV or VCR or whatever, you can get a very pleasing surround-sound effect.
Basic surround sends L + R to the 'centre' channel and L - R to the 'surround' channel, yes there is only 1 but traditionally has 2 speakers.
A good (well-miked) sports broadcast will often play well through Dolby Pro-Logic type surround decoding, too :^)
To achieve 5.1 or DTS audio requires discrete individual audio channels, or a way to create and amplify them from the stereo MTS signal typically broadcasted.
However, only you know how your sound system is set up, and what cords it uses etc...

unless you have a hidef satellite box or cable box (which means the higher end equipment) you wont get a true signal. but if your receiver has the ability to re-produce signals, thats the only real way you can get a decent sound. what do you have anyway...?
