ive got a dvd player and apparently it can play svcd and vcds but it when i put it in it doesnt work. my dvd player is a LG dv8731 does any one no if it should play vcds or there might be a certain way to play them??? plz help if you can!!!

from what i read, it supports these formats.....
DVD Video ? VCD ? SVCD ? DVD-R ? DVD-RW ? DVD+R ? DVD+RW ? CD (Audio) ? CD-R ? CD-RW ? Picture CD

but are these burned disks or originals?
perhaps PAL ot NTSC coded not working on the player.
