Getting ripped off, could use some advice

Hey all,
Have you ever bought a product from an online vendor and not received it? then tried to follow up by contacting them via email and had a lack of a coherent response? well, I could use your advice.
Basically I ordered a PS Breaker 1.1 disc from www.consolepoint.com they apparently sent it to the wrong address, I have the confirmation email saved in my box, and on the web confirming I had the correct address in the system, so clearly it was human error, I've made several attempts to contact the vendor, consolepoint.com without response, Post office has no information, went to the addy it was allegedly delivered to, no one had seen it (so they say) Anyways, who could I contact to force action? I am considering dispatching a subpoena, to recover the loss, naturally I wouldn't get much out of it, and it'd waste a generous amount of time. I just want my damn disc. So if anyone else has had this problem with a web vendor and has a suggestion for what course of action to take at this point, I would appreciate it. Or if you know consolepoint.com's Phone number, or a way to get into direct contact with the owner. Is there a better business bureau for web businesses? And yes this place is based in the united states, San Diego.

ALWAYS buy with a creditcard, then all you have to do is call the CC company and do a charge back. the very few times I've had similar incidences from online vendors the CC company quickly credited my account (and removed the $$$ from theirs) or when the CC company contacted the vendor they quickly 'discovered our error'

crap. i orderd somthing from console point. i really hope i get my disc. how long ago did you order it? and did you use cash? i sent in cash? does that mean im screwed? crap!! i live in san diego, where console point is located. if i dont get my disc within a week, im gonna search for the location of that POBOX post office and regulate. cuz i did not just spend about 100 dollars on a maxtor 160gb hdd for nothing.

if you paid 100 bucks for a 160 gig Maxtor you got ripped there you can get them from tigerdriect for 45 bucks.........anyways, and NEVER send cash to anyone. anybody who accepts cash, unless in person, is a crook 99% of the time.

I'd never checked out their site before just now but come on guys, common scenes tells you they aren't all together there. they sell

I'm from the Deep South of Alabama, stealth here is a climbing tree stand wearing bottom land mossy oak with a compound bow shooting 326 feet per second.........you can leg shoot em if it makes you feel better about getting ripped. i guarantee you one thing though, even if you two do get what you ordered from these people, i bet you don't order again without a CC (and don't use a debit card, use a real CC)

does anyone know where i can get HDadvance 3.0 for really really cheap? and i dont have a credit card and cant find anyone that would let me use theirs. is there a trustable place i can order HDadvance 3.0 that i can pay with atleast a money order?

only place i found with a quick search was mod-chip.com, but I've never ordered from them. i used to use gocybershop.ca after the real modchips.com (Niagara Falls USA) got shut down and they seam to only take CC payment now, all my chips now i get from modchip.com out of France. i just don't have good luck with US dealers even living in the US........imigian that.

Next time, before you buby anything online, do your research and see if its relevant to what you need, if the item is what they say it is.

Fortunately I did buy with a credit card, and your advice saved me considerable time... I never knew you COULD Charge back the money... Just completed it today, Hopefully I'll be hearing from consolepoint soon

glad to help. it's an advantage of using a CC it's extra security for incidences like this and in allot of cases you can actually get a warranty or extended warranty by using a CC for the purchase.

hey i just talked to the guy on aim.he said he recieved my money, and i should be recieving my package by wednsday. yay. they said they had a delay on packaging and sales because they had a week or so off because it being the holiday season. so ill let you guys know if i get my package.

yeah. but he seemed like a trust worthy person, he seemed to know what he was talking about. all i gotta do if i dont recieve my package is go to the adress listed on their pobox, wait til someone comes to that box. follow them to their house, or departmen, and ask them wtf is going on. haha. so im calmed down about my package. he says i should have it tomorrow.

T1DLarry, just read the thread and I am having difficulty reaching anyone from consolepoint. Was wondering if you received your goods and how you got it done? I've sent mulitple e-mails and no response and he won't answer any ims anymore. Ordered my goods Dec 21st, '05 and still nothing. I would really appreciate it if you or anyone else on the thread could help me out.
