hi guys

i know zip about this hdtv only it sounds like its coming main stream fast!

ok can anyone tell me what i would need to watch a true HD quailty dvd on my PC?

would i need this?

1, HD dvd reader drive in the pc?
2, HD graphic card installed?
3, HD monitor?

would that be all i need? and of course a HD dvd film to play ;-]) (is there any yet for sale??????)

You will need:

- 1 GB of RAM

- 3D Video Card with a HDMI (HDCP) or a DVI-D (HDCP) output.

- Video card capable of 1366x768 (720p) resolution or higher (1920x1080 recommended)

- HD-Monitor capable of 1366x768 resolution or higher

- HD-Monitor with DVI-D (HDCP) or DVI-I (HDCP) input.

- CPU capable of 3.0 GHz or higher

i do have these installed...

If you mean that you need to get a Blu-Ray drive or HD-DVD drive no. Most HD content is available via download or DVD (ie T2 Judgment Day: Extreme DVD).

Yes your monitor will need to be upgraded.

How do i play WMVHD content? I have WMP 9 and 10. IS this all?

My PC acceeds required specs.

3.2Ghz P4 775, ATi X700 Pro 256mb, 1GB DDR2,Asrock 775Twins-HDTV S/L, Maxtor 10 160GB SATA, NEC 4571 DVD±RW DL/RAM, Pioneer 110 DL/RAM, Hiper Type R 480W.

Yea. WMP 10 and Windows XP are required I think. If the files are DRM copy protected you will also need an internet conection.

There's quite the selection of video cards available with dvi outs. Problem is the specs don't show the max resolution of the card. On a videocard does the dvi output signify that the card will handle hd resoultion?
