I have just bought a Hitachi DZ-MV730 (PAL) camcorder as I thought recording to disk would be easier and less hassle.

The only thing was, I had to buy a TV DVD Ram recorder with built in Hard Drive(£300) so I could shoot the film on Mini DVD Ram then view the film from the mini DVD Ram on TV straight away.

I have found that I can Record from the Mini DVD Ram disk to the Hard Drive on the TV recorder then from the Hard Drive to full sized DVD R disks. I am impressed with the quality of the film from the camcorder and that on the DVD Rs when they are burned. They say the Mini DVD Ram disks can be erased and reused 100,000 time, need to keep counting for a bit.

I am now looking for a DVD burner for my PC that will play Mini DVD Ram disks. Does anyone know if they are available yet. Information now is that if buying any DVD players/burners, make sure they are RAM compatible.
