Hi,
I have a dvd and need to know what to do to make it a vcd. I have never done this stuff before. I can make vcd's and I know how to use the TMPGE encoder and stuff...but I"m not sure if it's dvd ripping I"m supposed to do first and what is that exactly anyhow? Is it just the ripping I do then encode?? Please help.....

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me....I checked out the article on dvd ripping...very informative. Only problem is...and a duh, think I'd have figured that one out...I need a dvd-rom....I only have a cd one. Oh well, guess it will have to wait.

Yeah, you definitely have tto have the DVD in your PC but they are pretty cheap. I like mine so much I've never bothered to get one for the TV. I just watch all the movies on my PC.
