Hi I would like to move on to Gamecube Project 2 installing Linux.
Ok I installed a Qoob Pro into my Gamecube, and I have BIOS version 1.3c.
I would like to make a bootable Linux Gamecube ISO that only runs of the DVD so I don't lose the ability to play Games.
On the Linux website they said I need to have a Linux PC but I don't Have one and I don't really want one.
Can anyone help with the tools I will need?
Plus I will be buying Max drive pro, Would it be poss to download Linux (if someone could post or PM me a Link) and run it off that.
thanks!

Totally forgot the name now, but there is a version of Linux which can be downloaded and booted when ripped on CD on your computer when it starts up. I think it is designed as a preview or something. That might work as it does not install itself but mearly loads from disk
I think its called Knippix but seriously dont know, thats what pop-ing up in my head!

nah, thats what i meant. Instead of him installing Linux, he can run it off a disk for his computer and then do what he needs to do to create a bootable disk!

Oh thanks mate thats great thank you!
Ive orderd a Max Pro now so that should help as I don't have PSO, I once I have made my boot device, my next project is to make a working PSone emulator for Gamecube, if anyone would like to help with that it would be great.
Also one more question, Do you think that it would be poss to Overclock a GC using Linux, Like you can with PSP with the fastloader software, I know there totaly diffrent but Linux must have a OC tool?
Thanks for your help.

Ok my Linux and PS1 emu are going well so far I think within the next few weeks I'll be able to post a tutorial on how to emu PS1 games on the Gamecube.
The Linux version of the emu is configured and hopefully ready to go I hope I get good results all Im waiting for is my Max Drive Pro to arvie.
I'm going to test a number of PS1 BIOSES to get the best results once I have done that I'll send boki2002 a PM with my e-mail and send you the files and tutorial sheet on how to get the PS1 games to the Gamecube.
Fngers crossed that my idear works, and if anyone is willing to help test the BETA PS1 emu for gamecube then please PM or post here.
Thank you.
