I know this topic is a little played out, but since i never really read any of them, i must ask how you fix a slow recorder. My dvdr used to take only 40min to record, now it moved up to 2+hrs. If somebody can help me out an let me know some bugs to fix it would be great. Any and all solution would be very helpful.

check to see if dma is on, your drive may be in pio mode

joforce2, it may help the senior members here if you post the software/hardware configurations you are using. If using Nero, include the log (without your serial numbers at the top).

also, have you changed the configuration of your computer (software/hardware) lately? also, is windows task manager showing something bogging down your processor or memory?

im using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink 3.2: I read the DVD Decrypter manual and have the settings on what it said to put it on. but as for my windows task messanget being changed, i have no idea how to check that dvdnookie.

If you right click on the taskbar and select task manager you can look and see what programs are running and eating up your ram. You could then click on the ones that you do not need and turn them off. Make sure you do not turn off the ones that you need.
