I have tv rips of Lost Season 1. The files are DivX compressed and play perfectly on my pc. I used the software VSO DivX to DVD, and with all my other DVDs the playback was fine, but with Lost the dubbing is way out and sometimes goes really fast. I noticed that in the file properties is says that they are DivX YV12, so I dont know if that could have anything to do with the problem.

Please help

Cheers
Martin

Unless your system is able to multiprocess well, then you are going to run into this problem a lot when you try to encode multiple sequences at the same time. If you wanna give it another shot, make sure all of your running and background programs are shut down, and don't touch your pc until it's finished encoding, as this will give it priority to focus on the autoring at hand. If your system still kicks it out of sync, then there is a proven method I have developed on my own.

Encode the episodes seperately into VOB format, and then compile together to reach a final, and perfect authored dvd. This method may require more attention to keep up, but it is worth it when you get to watch your favorite show on your 60" HDTV.

Only difference running other processes should make is slower encoding. Are you sure they are DivX? Never seen a DivX HDTV rip since scene rules don't allow it.

No, it's kinda funny he mentions Lost, because I had the same problem when I was authoring dvd with the exact same content. They were high definition avi's encoded with DivX, and I had the same problem he did, and that was the cure I found for it.

I think that i had this problem because the audio codec was AC-3, but i managed to get them on 2 DVD with no problems, converting them to mpeg with mpeg4 direct maker. Thanks for the tips n e way.

I think it was the XviD codec that was used, sorry.
