date for a 16x dvd for a laptop/notebook pc?

I am thinking of buying a laptop computer, but I would prefer one with a 16x dvd drive. Does anybody know (or have a clue) when the 16x dvd laptops will be available?

(The reason I want to know is if the 16x are too far away in time then I just buy one with an 8x dvd now)

I have no idea when 16x burners will be in laptops if they're not already- not the response your looking for but.... My laptop has an 8x burner and I won't burn that fast with it. Burning at max speed can cause problems and in the long run it ain't worth it for the extra 5-10 mins saved.
Get a laptop w/ 8x burner - lappy's are great - can't believe I didn't buy one sooner.
