I got a Spidergx mod chip for christmas, but I can't get the pins in the holes, I tried what the manual said (using some Lacquer Thinner) to clear the holes but their still blocked, is there any other way to do it?

That may be what it was, however, I just discovered I don't need the wires to actually stick through the board, as long as they are in the holes, got it installed and everything seems to be working fine, just trying to figure out where I'm supposed to get the BIOS for flashing it.
Can you answer that, or is it not allowed?

depends on what you got, but all bios files do pretty much the same thing. i know if you have like a 1.6b xbox you need a different bios. i've had a few issues where certain games wouldn't play on one bios, but would on another, but it's rare. i just keep 3 different bios's on my chip so in case i run into that problem again i can just boot using a different bios and all is good.

My friend ordered a Xenuim SP Ice and bought an Xbox this Christmas. As we all know, the SP Ice has been on back order for a while, so Console source convinced her to get the SpiderGX, instead.

She has a 1.6b Xbox. I have installed it, I don't know HOW many times. I always get the LED confirmation, and when the chip is turned on, the "On" LED lights up and the D0 LED turns off, like it is supposed to.

The problem is, I can't get the chip's OS to boot. Is this an issue with the Spider's bios or something? Auto does not work, and I tried the SpiderGX suggestion of loading the factory installed bank 2. Am I going to have to install it in my 1.4 and flash it with a 1.6b bios? I would think that the chip shouldn't care what it has, initially.

I get no video, the three restarts then FRAG. When I boot the xbox with the chip turned off, it runs like it did from the factory.
