There are three Dolby AC-3/2 listed.
Do I need all three of them?

There should be some more information there like French, Spanish etc. You can get rid of all audio except AC3 5.1 on the main movie, but if you remove audio from the extras you may not have audio, as they use sometimes use different audio tracks for differenct special features.

Hell no! Just choose the DD 5.1 and click off the other two.
Or..
Try just using the DD 2.0 if you can do the movie only without compression. Just make sure it's not the commentary track! Yikes.

Good Ruger, how bout yourself?
AC3 5.1 contains all the audio you need to listen in surround sound or just in 2 channel.

So it's pointless to keep the others?

Basically, because most of the newer Home Theater stereos will play that format. It is just what I prefer, some people like DTS and so on and so forth...keep the one that you like best.

1 - So if re-authoring a dvd having both AC3 2-ch and AC3 5.1-ch are pointless b/c regardless the 5.1ch will be filtered down to 2ch?
2 - I also notice that when I choose 2ch its much lounder (im assuming b/c I have 2 ch system, ie tv) Why is the 2ch louder?
3 - In the future perhaps I may have a better system (sound is important to me aswell). Therefore, I would be wise to keep the 5.1?
Cheers

So in essence If you have kept the AC3 5.1-ch then on a dvd with both the AC3 2-ch becomes redundant? correct?

Yeah Bigtoxy69 just keep the 5.1 if you don't have 5.1 setup the sound with down convert to ordinary stereo. And you save those MBs for the movie, so the compression is better.
