Hello everyone, I'm a newb, and I have a few questions.

I have a nice collection of pc games, and I would like to back them all up. How do I play a backup without a no-cd or virtual drive?

Is this possible?

If so, can someone please enlighten me?

Usually those backup work only if you overwrite the original EXE of the game with a 'patched' executable i.e. you DO NEED a no-cd.
Otherwise you must have a 'perfect image' (i.e. an image containing all complicated stuff like the subchannels data information of the original CD) which you 'mount' so te game will make its checks with it (equivalent to burning that 'perfect image' in a CD-R with a proper software which burns also all complicated stuff, if burning it is possible - some is not burnable, like the RPMS).

Hey I am trying to do the same thing. I am trying to back up FEAR so I don't have to take the disk(s) to college. I tried using Circle Virtual CD but whenever I try to open FEAR it gives me an error saying "FEAR has encountered an error and must close." Is there anyother program I can use to back FEAR up with?
