Question about loaders for swap magic

I see that some of the swap magics require some kind of loader. The question is, do I need to use the loader because of the swap magic version, or is it because of the version PS2 I have.

I ordered a flip top and 3.6 swap magic discs for my brother's version 7 PS2. Do I need to do special loader things before I burn the discs?

first you need to cut open the disc drive then put n the new flip top lid and glue a little white thing on to it from inside the drive, then you need to put in the swap magic like a normal game, then when thats loaded open the flip top and put in the game and press X

i recomend that you read throught plenty of instructions on how to apply the flip top lid and follow the most detailed whilst doing it
