Hello
I have an old scph15000 ps2, and recently, it started giving read disc errors on DVDs... It doesn't play any DVD be it movie, be it game, either original or backup... CD is playing fine tho.
It was said to me that the laser is diying, so I will need to replace it... Well, searching for the laser, I've found out that my model uses KHS400 series, but I don't know wich one... Some sites says that both are compatible with the 15000 model, but you can't be too sure...
So, what is the difference between them? By the way, my ps2 is modded...

I took my console to some pros, and had one of them to fix my ps2... He replaced my KHS-400B for a KHS-400C and it works fine... Guess it is compatible one with another...
By asking some pros out there to take a look, I started to wonder how come some of these "pros" even have jobs... Only reading these foruns I knew more than some of them about fixing ps2s...
