I am sure this has been covered, but I have some really quick questions.

I been hearing a lot about the HDD/PS2 loader option and came across these 2 brands.

Due newer games (VD-9 games/DVD-9 backup/ DVD-9 import games) work with the HDLoader 3.0 better than the HDAdvance?

All the material that I found on the web just mention to get a Matrox HDD and one of these options.
Is that true?[\bold]
Do you need a modchip installed in the PS2 in order to play
Is there any specific benefit from having a modchip installed as well?
