I want to make a back up of a dvd called the marksman but when i open it up in shrink it says theres an error and it cannot continue INVALID DVD NAVIGATION STRUCTURE. I have tryed dvd decryptor but it says there was an I/O error. help

i had the same problem. I downloaded the trial version of CloneDVD 2 and worked fine as long as you have AnyDVD. Now i just have the problem of the last 10 mins of the movie freezing even though shrinkage settings are adjusted to 4300 mb.

The errors you are getting are due to newer copy protection that DVD Decrypter can't handle. Try DVDFab Decrypter instead of DVD Decrypter to rip or DVD43 combined with DVD Shrink to get around the errors.

Try reducing your burn speed to 4X and don't compress the movie too much to relieve your pausing and pixellation problems. Also make sure you are using quality media such as Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Sony, Fuji, Maxell(made in Japan).

what number do u set shrink compression at?i was told 4300 mb is fine. I use taiyo yuden printable media DVD+R 8x. i used to burn at 4x but i found i would freeze more so i changed to 6x.

4300 is the setting that I recommend. It is also recommended to burn at 4X, but since that wasn't working for you step up incrementally to find the optimal burning speed for your machine.

Are you doing a full disc backup or main movie only? If reauthoring the main movie only you can further reduce your compression by opening the compression tab and deleting all audio except AC3 5.1 and any subtitle you don't need.
