Hello all, im new here so excuse me if this has been covered.

I am using the DVD Decrypter and followed the instructions step by step to rip a DVD and when I use DVD shrink to open and burn the saved file, the folder where the rip DVD is showing up empty, if I go through C: and into the folder i can see many files in the folder, but through DVD Shrink its empty, I have tried with 2 diffrent DVD's and same problem, anybody can help? Thanks in advance.

What movie is it that you're trying to copy? It might be beneficial to try ripping in ISO mode. Or rather, you could try running AnyDVD in the background. Free trial, what could it hurt. For some of the "not so recent" movies, the ISO mode works like a charm. On newer movies, it sometimes doesn't work the greatest.
Then, in DVD Shrink, rather than going to Open Files, you can go to Open Disk Image and point to the .MDS file.

@joecool13

Use the guide in my signature. Follow it step by step. Foolproof.

Thank you both, the walk through worked on the 2nd DVD and I see that the first DVD was Toy Story 2 which is a couple of threads of its own. Thanks you have a really great web site here. keep up the good work.

I have burned DVD with DVD Decrypter in my desktop pretty good and I dont have any problem at all. But when I do it in my laptop the file extension it saves is as "mymovie.mds" and not as "mymovie.iso" , then it saves other files that has to be associated with "mds" like ".100", ".101" and ".102" . Can you tell me if you know if this is ok to play in a regular TV Screen. Does it make any difference in the encryption or the video quality.

Your laptop Hard Drive is formatted in Fat32, your other PC must be NTFS formatted which is what the difference is. If you want to burn then just open the MDS file and it will put all the other files together. If you are running XP on your laptop you may want to think of reformatting to NTFS.

im sorry if im in the wrong message room for this question, first day here so be patient with me. i have not at this time purchased the AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2 but really want to. i see from some of the other posts that the law changed as of jan. 1st. if i do get this software from slysoft what would be different for me now its after the 1st compared to prior to the first? i have also seen posts that if you get it from slysoft, the law did not apply?? any thoughts?? also, can i get this software sent to me in the mail from anywhere, or is it all downloaded? why i ask is i live in the country, slow speed dial up, and not to dependable. i would rather pay for it, and have it sent to me in the mail to download on to my computer, but, ill do what it takes.. thanks all...
