I think i've just made 2 very expensive coasters...

I have been trying to backup important files to a dvd dl using my Pioneer DVR-K05 drive. I tried used BurnRight and ONES. They say they burn, I can see that the actual disc looks like it has been burnt, but they come up as empty. I tried the disc burnt with ONES on a friends computer...the folders came up, but we could not explore them. A message popped up that said something about dvd dl discs can only be read on compatible recorders...

whats going on?
