I have an ILO DVDR05ZU recorder and I have a tv show episode that I recorded on a vhs that I'm trying to record to dvd, but when I push play on the vcr and have the dvd recorder source set to tuner, the screen on the tv turns blue, I can hear the audio of the show on the vhs tape, but there's no picture. But the weird thing is when I push pause or fastforward/rewind on the vcr, the picture shows up!

It sounds like you may have a VCR or a connection problem [Or Both]
But first you say its a 05 ZU, If you can return it. I would do so. The MU or MU1 units are much more reliable and a better unit
