when your computer is starting up take a look for what you need to press to get into the setup (usually f2 or Del but it can vary) and press it. that will take you into the bios. if you have a look around in the menus you should see something like "video memory size" or "graphics aperture size" (something like that anyway) change it up to 32 and thats it.
if you dont use this comp for games or anything then id personally leave it at 8 or 16 as the memory size is taken out of your system memory the more graphic memory you have the less system memory
Studio Comp: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ OC ~ 2.35GHz runs at 40 celcius idle and 48 under stress (aerocool GT1000 really works!), Asrock K7VT4A , 1024MB Dual Channel DDR 400, MSI Nvidia FX5200 128MB OC ~ 600MHz mem 350MHz core,80GB SATA + 200GB SATA + 120GB IDE, 7.1 Channel Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX sound and midi interface. 19" Sony SDM-HS95 TFT monitor - sweeet

When you enter bios, move to the Advanced screen. Press down to Video Configuration and press enter. Select the size you want and press spacebar. Press the F10 key and then press ENTER to save your changes. The screen will go blank and the computer will restart. That should work. Here is the link from the Dell support page I am referencing from. http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en...

@ Auslander
It has onboard video you can dedicate your memory to be used as video memory.
Quote: Memory: 254MB RAM
Would this mean that there is 2 meg dedicated to video and a 2meg chip on the graphics controller?
