So you seach the web for some cool modding apps and come accross firemod.com You think wow it sounds nice. Ill look into it. Then you buy a modding app and a few weeks later your friends got the same modding app but better!! You go back to the site and notice its one big scam!!!
So what im trying to say is DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM FIREMOD.COM THERE WEBSITE IS NOTHING BUT A BIG SCAM!!!!
I wrote this message to them!!!
Quote:You are charging for modding tools that you did not make yourself? That's unbelievable!!! I wish some of those modding tool were copyrighted just so I could report you!!! Making money off of people like that is horrible!!! Also that is the most unprofessional website I have ever seen in my life!!!
They replied with this!!
Quote:Dear Isaiah,
First of all, what we are charging for is the convenience of having all of those tools in one location as well as easy to follow instructions for how to use them. Lucky for us the programs we use are not copyrighted. (Sorry.) Secondly, if you don't like what you see, don't buy it. We never asked you to, and trust us, we're not hurting because you didn't. Thirdly, making money like that is not horrible, it's called capitalism. Don't be mad you didn't think of it first.
p.s. We care what you think. Ohh, wait... no we don't.
There are charging for someone elses stuff!! Thats like going to the Salvation army and getting some clothes for free and selling them to some family for $50!!!
They say there charging for "the convenience of having all of those tools in one location". Well guess what xbins has all the same apps for free and thery are not second hand!!!They are the source!!
Then they say they are also charging for "easy to follow instructions for how to use them". Does any one use google anymore!!!??? I mean Xbox-Scene alone has great tutorials. Also there are thousands of tutorials made by experienced modders!!
Then finally this is what got me "Don't be mad you didn't think of it first.
p.s. We care what you think. Ohh, wait... no we don't."
You dont treat potential customers like that. Do you?
If they keep this up there gonna get a bad rep!!! Besides the one they have already!!
Sorry, you are right. But he is being aggrivating. I have never made a site before but I can imagine that it is nnot easy and takes a lot of time. He sits there on his couch putting people down who probably worked hard for that site and he thinks that people will agree with him. He deserved every word I said to him even though it may have been harsh.
i have never been to firemods.com but if its a scam i agree something should be done about it.as for buying and selling things i got a stolen mobile for $30 and sold it to my cousin for $70 she was really happy she said the shop wanted $150 for the phone brand new and the one i sold her was in mint condition.theres nothing wrong with buying goods cheap and reselling them aslong as there worth the money and you pass on the savings to other people.but that site sounds dodgy as hell.as for there response there wasn't the best response either.if you want any free apps send me a PM and i will give you a link there free to download but you got to burn them on cd or dvd yourself
P.S bad mouth that site to every forum you can and they will lose customers and money.they should be stopped.
custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original, yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.
Have you seen there site? It looks bad!!! I mean.... What im mad is there using someone elses stuff and charging for someone esles stuff!! There are using other peoples mods and tuts and charging for them. If the bought the tuts on the other hand it wouldnt be so bad. But the got the mods the tuts and the apps for free!!! and they are trying to make a quick buck using noobs. I would hope only young newbs would fall for this and thats only because it understandable. Kids dont use common sense. OR GOOGLE!!!
i agree that selling apps you can get for free is a bit shaddy.
But on the other and if people did their research before they purchased the stuff then they would know that they could be had for free, so it is really the persons own fault if they got scammed on that one. Should have done your homework first.
i can tell by the site now, saying they used up their bandwidth, that it is most likely a free web space provided that some guy just threw a few pages on himself.
as NWA once said "don't beleive the hype"
