okay so heres the deal i want to get a discussion going about music making. what type of music you make (if any) and where you influences for it come from. How you make your music (do you use software or play live etc)
Maybe put up somelinks to your own tracks so we can have a listen and give some feed back.
I make drum & bass with influences from rock and hardcore. id put some links to some of the tracks ive made but the would be server i was going to host them on is having some hardware difficulties (ask rundata about those if you want to lol)
I use reason and acid pro mainly for my music making but im starting to introduce some live elements into it using my guitar

have you been down to the mp3 lizard at the bottom of the AD forums?
you might get better response from there. there are alot of unsign bands and people trying to get in a band. and do you know about myspace.com?

what instrument do you play?...and people, please,no lame skin flute jokes.
ive been kicking around on guitar and drums for a few years. i havent gotten serious about either mainly because ive been moving around alot and most places and people i lived with wouldnt tolerate the noise.

what style of music do you make?
i usually put out basic threed chord kind of stuff. im still an amateur so cut me some slack.:S i can also kick out some beats on the drums but never could practice my timing enough. people just dont give drummers any place to practice.
i have an Aria Pro II guitar. its not top of the line but its decent. i have a small little generic amp and i have no effect pedals or anything like that. my drum kit is a cheap 5 peice (Sunlite). it gets the job done except the bass pedal is a peice of shit. and i only have one cymbal besides the hi-hat cymbals. you could say im a recreational musician,i guess.

i havent changed the site much from the original template yet as i only started playing with it last night but if you look in the downloads section there is one track available for download.
the style of this track is drum n bass but ill be putting up some clubhouse and possibly some more genres (depending on how creative im feeling)
have a listen and give me your feedback. (in this thread not on my site at least not yet anyway)

cool track man, and coming from me thats alot since thats not really my type of music. i think ANY music made that moves someone is a great accomplishment, even if it aint really my style. Like rap for instance, i cant stand it personally, but i still got respect for it. So if you dig it, it's cool with me.
My taste in music is so diverse that i really couldn't catagorize it. i love everything from talking heads, to tool, to slayer, to neil young. My stuff sounds like a heavy blend of all of it. Just picture Neil young, maynard james keenan, david byrne, and slipknot all had a baby....well me and my tunes, we're the afterbirth ;)
one of these days i'll get it done and cut it loose on the world. then i'll take cover from flying tomatoes and stuff ;)
