The game is Safedisc 2.8.x cd protected. You'll need BlindWrite 4.25 to make a backup. Depending upon the brand name and model of your burner will determine if you need emulation (hide cd-r), bypasses ATIP. Look here for more info.

And the reason why it says "cd not inserted"= cd protected (Safedisc 2.8.x).

It would help me if you can supply the brand name and model of your burner to determine if you need the aid of "hide cd-r".

You'll need the aid of emulation (hide cd-r). Make the backups with BlindWrite 4.25 and install Alcohol 120% (for now). Read/write settings for BlindWrite 4.25.

Read image settings:

Open BlindWrite (icon on the left)
dump the image of a cd-rom
Authorize the use of alternative read method>nextChoose nibble (extraction method), check adapt speed and read max.

Write image settings:
Open BlindWrite(image to the right)start cd writing wizard>look up and make sure your Samsung is chosen>next. Locate the image of the disc you saved to your hd>nextclick next again. Chose DAO pw write mode and check enhance weak sectors and eject cd when finished, burn max.

Alcohol 120%:http://www.alcohol-software.com/

After installing green beer, go to options>general>emulation and check ignore media type. Go to Extra emulation and check all three, then leave green beer (Alcohol 120) running in system tray. After you have made a backup with BlindWrite, insert your backup in your Samsung with Alcohol running in system tray and you should be able to install and play the game. In your scenerio, SKIP the read image section (BlindWrite) and go to write image (bin& cue)

Do you have Alcohol 120% running in system tray with the options ticked as I previously posted? if so then my bet the game is on the "blacklist" and until Alcohol 120% updates, you'll have to rely on Daemon Tools (blah). if you had a "2 sheep" burner (writes regular bit patterns correctly), your backup would play with NO problems. Most recommended 2 sheep burners are: LiteON, Asus, Memorex, BTC, just to name a few. My Polaroid BurnMAX48 is a BTC drive and I can backup the latest Safedisc version. if that won't work, download the latest Daemon Tools (released today) and install. After installing right click the Daemon Tools icon runnin in system tray and click emulation, then Safedisc. Now go to Virtual CD\DVD Rom>device>mount image. Locate your bin& cue file(s) and mount the image. Now double click My Computer, and locate the Daemon Tools virtual drive and double click. Hopefully the game will install and play?

Well, I wasn't aware how the latest Safedisc 2.8.x is causing backup problems even for certain 2 sheep burners. Follow this thread to get a little more detailed info on how the latest Safedisc 2.8.x works. Some have reported using CloneCD and emulating the image to get the backup to work.
