Why is my DVD burner slow all of a sudden

I have been backing up DVD's using DVD shrink and DVD decrypter with everything working fine. Then all of a sudden the speed has slowed way down (what took 20 mins now takes 3 hrs.) It is not the DMA and I re-installed the IDE channels. Nothing works. I also deleted the programs I was using and now have ImgBurn instead of DVD decrypter. I am brand new to this site. And would like some help. Thank you very much

It was the DMA but on the secondary IDE for some reason I overlooked that one.
