Ok i'm trying to burn an AVI file onto a dvd with Nero, whenever I add the video file it freezes. It seems that it's just loading but I know it isn't, is it because it's and AVI file? Do I need to convert the file?

i gather you wish to play this AVI file in a standalone dvd player, you dont say but i guess i'm assuming a lot as your question was a bit sketchy.

Download the application from the link below.

load your AVI into it and press convert.Your file very shortly will be encoded to an mpeg2 compatible format which Nero will be able to see as a file that can be burnt to a dvd and then played in a standalone dvd player
