I have been trying to do copies of dvd-r's I recorded on a standalone DVD recorder (Panasonic) using a Cendyne DVR-105 burner (same as Pioneer DVR-105) and EZ CD/DVD Creator 6. The DVR-105 is supposed to be 6x read and 4x write. I have been unable to get it to read at any higher than 2x and when I tried to write at 2x, I got the error :logical block address out of range. This is my first attempt using EZ CD 6. I had version 5 of it and I was able to copy with no problem, but only at 1x read and 1x write. I am using Verbatim discs for recording on the standalone and Ritek 4x discs for doing the copies. Do I have to use 4x discs for the standalone in order for the burner to utilize the higher speed read? I wouldn't think it would matter what speed disc it is reading from. Any help on this matter would be most appreciated.
