I personally prefer Maxell (I *refuse* to use Memorex, everyone knows why) however, a certain back-up of mine (LOTR The Third Age) failed on me. What happened is that loading was atrosious (I had to wait two or so minutes just for one battle to start), not to mention that bits and pieces of the scenary are missing (walls, floors, ect.) Basically something weird graphic wise happens each and every time I start the thing. Sometimes the thing won't even progress pass the loading screen. >_>

I know that Maxell is a good brand, but is this a game that requires a brand that is a cut above all the rest? Also is the problem related to using the wrong form of media? I use a DVD+R since I figure that a video game would count as...video. Should I be using a DVD-R instead? Any available comments would be nice.
