I have a modded xbox that froze after I tried to change the skin (UnleashX). when I turn it on, it jumps to the dashboard, and it shows the correct time. I can play games from DVDs, which leads me to believe that I can run a boot disc. the only problem is that I don't have one that has worked. I tried both just an xbe with evox and the ini, and also a complete C drive in perfect working order that i backed up to my computer. I was going to try other media, but I was wondering if there is anything else i could do first to try to fix it. i am unable to ftp to the xbox, and I do still have the retail hdd, which is still running the microsoft dashboard.

if u softmodded the box just put the game u softmodded it with and remove the softmodd and reinstall it also back up your eeprom and C drive to your comp just incase....
