i am new to this forum but i always went to this forum for answers and it always helped me so now i joined the forum. i have a qeustion i have a modded slim ps2 with a mod chip and i wanted to put linux in it since my custom computer broke down i am thinking of using its 160 gb hardrive i know slim ps2 doesn't suppport a hardrive but they are ways like i found out they found a way to make a pstwo support a hardrive in i-hacked but you have to know how to solder and i dont know how to. so can anyone tell me if they know another way to add a hardrive to a pstwo or a noob like guide on how to soilder becouse i tried to understand most of the guides i looked up on google but i cant understande it and i am planning to get the linux and hd advance cd from utorrent or bitcomet

I am not sure if the slim PS2 supports linux, and if it does you will need a usb to ide connector cable for ur hard drive.

You dont need to solder anything just get USBEXTREME and get a usb to ide converter so that you can connect a hard drive to the slim line, if u wana solder all those wires go ahead, but then it wont look good, and ur ps2 will have to be open most of the time, coz the ide cables are thick.
