When I download 2(or more) CD image files for the same game, when installing it wont recognise the 2nd CD even though I've expanded it using WinISO/ISObuster and it extracts fine and appears exact same "image"; image is later burnt using Nero/CDRWin fine. I know that original CD's have embedded security of some sort - is this a factor and does anyone know how to bypass this? (this is probably the reason why CD cracks are needed even if you have copied the cd fine). So far games like Fifa 2003 and SOF2 have posed this problem among others.

when you get the cd images, burn them as they are. bin/cue is the best cd image! just in nero click file - burn image and if its a bin/cue load the cue file or load an iso or whatever it is!

For the second cd, is there actually any files on the the disk after you burn the image??

Yup its a "100%" replica. As I said before I believe it to be embedded ID info (probably a few bytes in size!) in the original CD's which arent copied when people put them on file sharing. Also maybe why you need CD cracks even if you have copied the CD fine, it installs fine, but then prompts for the CD when you try to play it even when you've left the CD in the drive! Its a copy-protection safeguard I think - was just wondering if there was anyway to by-pass.

Well then a no cd crack would be best, usualy they would be in a crack directory on the cd

Yup they work great when you can get the game to install fine, but you cant use no cd cracks when you need to put the 2nd CD to install the game. Not to worry! But cheers anyway :-)

Ye there would be because that deals with protection issues and such!
