I think I've tried almost every single guide on this website trying to get the best quality movie CD with subtitles. I've also studied several threads on the forums. I'm at my wits end.
DVD2SVCD with CCE SP. The bin/cue file you attempted to burn with nero, may have been better off burned with Alcohol 120% or another program that specialises mostly with image files!
Burning the bin/cue files with Alcohol 120% worked. I was going to try CCE SP but it says it will stick a logo on the video (unless I want to spend $2000 for the program). Why would anyone spend that much for this program? Is it really that good?

Shoey, I have to stear clear of VCDEasy for SVCD! I have told you already about the odd problem i have with it and over the last few weeks i found a few people with the same problem :)!!
Dela,
I've backed up countless SVCD's in bin& cue format using VCDEasy and my backups play like a charm! If one encounters problems in the burn process, go to settings>CDRDAO>change force driver to generic-mmc.

Well I had to disable burnproof on my secondary pc and use generic-mmc-raw driver. I admit getting the CDRDAO settings can be a pain in the arse, but once configured properly, program runs very smooth.
